Curug 7 With My Friends

morning me and friend - a friend who named Aisha, Rifky, Junian and Mita have plans to travel to holiday to the top, but unfortunately hampered due to some problems with timeliness. Hehehe

Around 12.00 noon departure for the summit, I and Aisha riding a motorcycle together, mita and Rifky riding a motorcycle together. Around 3:00 I and my friends have started approaching the destination. And in the middle of the rainy trip, my friends and find shelter. After the rain stopped me and ice, rifky, June and mit continue the journey.

And finally arrived at the place we were headed, without my finding that the scenery is very good, without thinking I and friends directly memakirkan motorcycle and headed straight Cilember Waterfall, we all feel happy after seeing the waterfall into seven, and one of my I called friends Rifky would like to invite us all to see another waterfall, and we also want to see another waterfall, without thinking we started up the stairs to get to the other kecurug, travel very far, I've not been strong enough to climb the ladder, but a friend -personal friend of mine encouraged me to go to the top of the waterfall, a very good friend is aisyah she always encouraged me to reach the goal, mita rifky and Junian push to get to the destination. And then we all arrived at the waterfall six, when I got there I played water and take pictures. Without feels time is shown at six, we Decided to go back down.

After going down we all went on a trip to go home.

Countable and Uncountable nouns

It's important to distinguish between countable and uncountable nouns in English because their usage is different in regards to both determiners and verbs.

Countable nouns

Countable nouns are for things we can count using numbers. They have a singular and a plural form. The singular form can use the determiner "a" or "an". If you want to ask about the quantity of a countable noun, you ask "How many?" combined with the plural countable noun.

Uncountable nouns

Uncountable nouns are for the things that we cannot count with numbers. They may be the names for abstract ideas or qualities or for physical objects that are too small or too amorphous to be counted (liquids, powders, gases, etc.). Uncountable nouns are used with a singular verb. They usually do not have a plural form.

•     sugar
•     water
•     air

•     knowledge
•     beauty
•     anger
•     fear
•     love
•     money
•     research
•     safety
•     evidence

We cannot use a/an with these nouns. To express a quantity of an uncountable noun, use a word or expression like some, a lot of, much, a bit of, a great deal of , or else use an exact measurement like a cup of, a bag of, 1kg of, 1L of, a handful of, a pinch of, an hour of, a day of. If you want to ask about the quantity of an uncountable noun, you ask "How much?"

Examples

•     There has been a lot of research into the causes of this disease.
•     He gave me a great deal of advice before my interview.
•     Can you give me some information about uncountable nouns?
•     He did not have much sugar left.
•     Measure 1 cup of water, 300g of flour, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
•     How much rice do you want?

Tricky spots

Some nouns are countable in other languages but uncountable in English. They must follow the rules for uncountable nouns. The most common ones are:

accommodation, advice, baggage, behavior, bread, furniture, information, luggage, news, progress, traffic, travel, trouble, weather, work

Examples

•     I would like to give you some advice.
•     How much bread should I bring?
•     I didn't make much progress today.
•     This looks like a lot of trouble to me.
•     We did an hour of work yesterday.

Be careful with the noun hair which is normally uncountable in English, so it is not used in the plural. It can be countable only when referring to individual hairs.

Examples :

•     She has long blond hair.
•     The child's hair was curly.
•     I washed my hair yesterday.
•     My father is getting a few grey hairs now. (refers to individual hairs)
•     I found a hair in my soup! (refers to a single strand of hair)

Sentence Pattern : Subject, Verb, Complement, Modifiersumber

A Sentence is the basis for intelligible communication in the English language . Sentence Pattern is sentences are made up of at least two of these four basic parts : subject, verbs, complement, and modifier.

1.    Subject

Subject is thing or person that performs or responsible for the action of a sentence and normally precedes the verb.

example :

· I went to a restaurant last night

2.    Verb

verb is kalimat yang menunjukkan suatu pekerjaan atau aktifitas.

example :

· Jane reading that book

3.    Complement

Complement is answer the question what or whom, It actually like noun or noun phrase.

Example :

· He was smoking a cigarette

question : What was he smoking ?

answer : a cigarette

4.    Modifier

Modifier is answer the question when, where or how, modifier explain time, place, or manner from a action.

Example ;

· We ate dinner at seven o’clock.

When did we eat dinner?

answer : of time

HISTORY TOEFL

History

In 1962, a national council made up of representatives of thirty government and private organizations was formed to address the problem of ensuring English language proficiency for non-native speakers wishing to study at U.S. universities. This council recommended the development and administration of the TOEFL exam for the 1963-1964 time frame.

The test was originally developed at the Center for Applied Linguistics under the direction of Stanford University applied linguistics professor Dr. Charles A. Ferguson.

The TOEFL test was first administered in 1964 by the Modern Language Association financed by grants from the Ford Foundation and Danforth Foundation.

In 1965, The College Board and ETS jointly assumed responsibility for the continuation of the TOEFL testing program.

In 1973, a cooperative arrangement was made between ETS, The College Board, and the Graduate Record Examinationsboard of advisers to oversee and run the program. ETS was to administer the exam with the guidance of the TOEFL board.

To the present day, college admission criteria for international students who are Commonwealth of Nations nationals are exempted from taking the TOEFL exam - nations which are part of the Anglosphere (from Commonwealth realms to former British colonies e.g. Hong Kong SAR or former protectorates of the United States) where English is the de facto official language automatically grants a TOEFL exemption with some restrictions (e.g. residents of Quebec are required to take TOEFL while the rest of Canada is exempt - also inclusive of Commonwealth nations where English is not a official language e.g. Mozambique or Namibia (English is co-official but spoken by 3% of the population).

Formats and content

Internet-based test

Since its introduction in late 2005, the TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT) format has progressively replaced the computer-based tests (CBT) and paper-based tests (PBT), although paper-based testing is still used in select areas. The TOEFL iBT test has been introduced in phases, with the United States, Canada, France, Germany, and Italy in 2005 and the rest of the world in 2006, with test centers added regularly. The CBT was discontinued in September 2006 and these scores are no longer valid.

Initially, the demand for test seats was higher than availability, and candidates had to wait for months. It is now possible to take the test within one to four weeks in most countries.The four-hour test consists of four sections, each measuring one of the basic language skills (while some tasks require integrating multiple skills), and all tasks focus on language used in an academic, higher-education environment. Note-taking is allowed during the TOEFL iBT test. The test cannot be taken more than once every 12 days.

1.   Reading

The Reading section consists of questions on 4–6 passages, each approximately 700 words in length. The passages are on academic topics; they are the kind of material that might be found in an undergraduate university textbook. Passages require understanding of rhetorical functions such as cause-effect, compare-contrast and argumentation. Students answer questions about main ideas, details, inferences, essential information, sentence insertion, vocabulary, rhetorical purpose and overall ideas. New types of questions in the TOEFL iBT test require filling out tables or completing summaries. Prior knowledge of the subject under discussion is not necessary to come to the correct answer.

2.   Listening

The Listening section consists of questions on six passages, each 3–5 minutes in length. These passages include two student conversations and four academic lectures or discussions. The conversations involve a student and either a professor or a campus service provider. The lectures are a self-contained portion of an academic lecture, which may involve student participation and does not assume specialized background knowledge in the subject area. Each conversation and lecture passage is heard only once. Test-takers may take notes while they listen and they may refer to their notes when they answer the questions. Each conversation is associated with five questions and each lecture with six. The questions are meant to measure the ability to understand main ideas, important details, implications, relationships between ideas, organization of information, speaker purpose and speaker attitude.

3.   Speaking

The Speaking section consists of six tasks: two independent and four integrated. In the two independent tasks, test-takers answer opinion questions on familiar topics. They are evaluated on their ability to speak spontaneously and convey their ideas clearly and coherently. In two of the integrated tasks, test-takers read a short passage, listen to an academic course lecture or a conversation about campus life and answer a question by combining appropriate information from the text and the talk. In the two remaining integrated tasks, test-takers listen to an academic course lecture or a conversation about campus life and then respond to a question about what they heard. In the integrated tasks, test-takers are evaluated on their ability to appropriately synthesize and effectively convey information from the reading and listening material. Test-takers may take notes as they read and listen and may use their notes to help prepare their responses. Test-takers are given a short preparation time before they have to begin speaking. The responses are digitally recorded, sent to ETS’s Online Scoring Network (OSN), and evaluated by three to six raters.

4.   Writing

The Writing section measures a test taker's ability to write in an academic setting and consists of two tasks: one integrated and one independent. In the integrated task, test-takers read a passage on an academic topic and then listen to a speaker discuss it. The test-taker then writes a summary about the important points in the listening passage and explains how these relate to the key points of the reading passage. In the independent task, the test-taker must write an essay that states their opinion or choice, and then explain it, rather than simply listing personal preferences or choices. Responses are sent to the ETS OSN and evaluated by at least 3 different raters.

Hello My name is Vera Dwi Yulianti, I was born Bogor 8 july 1994. I’m second child of three siblings. My hobby is playing volleyball since elementary school. My mother is Suwarsih. 150 gram kol,iris ,direbus ½ matang
50 gram taoge,siagi ,direbus ½ matang
1 buah tahu putih,goreng
150 gram tempe,goreng
1 buah ketimun,potong dadu
2 butir telur,rebus matang
Daun selada keriting & Emping goreng secukupnya

Bumbu Kacang:

300 gram kacang tanah,goreng,haluskan
500 ml santan dari 1 butir kelapa
1 batang serai,memarkan
2 lembar daun jeruk
4 sdm saus tomat botolan
2 sdm kecap manis
2 sdm minyak goreng
1 sdm penyedap rasa ayam

Haluskan:

2 cabe merah
5 siung bawang merah
3 siung bawang putih
2 cm kencur
1 sdt garam

Pelengkap:
Daun selada,tomat,dan telur rebus
Taburan: bawang goreng

Cara membuat :

1.      Saus: panaskan minyak,tumis bumbu halus hingga harum.Campur tumisan bumbu dengan kacang tanah,santan,serai,daun jeruk,saus tomat,kecap manis, dan penyedap rasa ayam,aduk rata,masak hingga mendidih,angkat.

2.      Rebus sayuran hingga matang,angkat,tiriskan.

3.      Siapkan pinggan,tata sayuran,tahu,dan tempe. Tuangkan bumbu kacang atau sajikan terpisah,taburi bawang goreng. Lengkapi dengan telur rebus dan emping goreng, sajikan.

Kenapa saya memilih masakan ini karena saya suka sekali dengan gado – gado siram ini , rasanya itu lohh enak banget pokoknya .

“My Brother”

Kejadian 7 tahun lalu telah mengubah semua kehidupanku , saat kecelakaan menimpa ku dan kedua orang tuaku, kecelakaan itu merenggut semua kebahagianku , mamahku meninggal saat kecelakaan itu .

Kecelakaan itu harus membuatku tergantung pada kursi roda ini, belum lagi rasa bersalah yang selalu menyelimutiku, kakak yang selama ini menyayangiku sifatnya berubah 180 derajat dia selalu menyalahiku atas kepergian mamah hanya papah yang saat ini tetap memahami dan menyayangiku .

Aku selalu mencoba bicara pada kakakku yang bernama marcel, tetapi dia selalu menghindar dan memakiku

“ kakak sampai kapan sikap kakak seperti ini padaku? Kesalahan apa yang membuat kakak membenciku ? “  tak terasa air mata mengalir dipipiku

“ kau masih bertanya apa salahmu ? kau sudah membuat orang yang paling berharga dalam hidupku pergi, andai saja dulu kau tak memaksa mereka untuk mengantarmu kesekolah mungkin kejadian tujuh tahun lalu tidak akan terjadi”  marcel dengan nada tinggi

“ Tapi kecelakaan itu bukan kemauanku, kalau saja posisiku dan mamah bisa di tukar aku rela menukarkan nyawaku dengan mamah”  jawabku dengan air mata yang terus mengalir dipipiku

Ka Marcel tidak menghiraukan ucapanku, dia hanya tersenyum sinis padaku . tapi aku yakin dihati kecil ka marcel dia tidak berniat mengacuhkanku.

“ Putri”

Tiba-tiba seseorang mengagetkanku, aku hafal sekali suara siapa yang memanggilku itu suara papah.

“papah aku ingin ketaman” manjaku pada papah

“ untuk apa ? “ papah

“ Aku ingin membuat lukisan untuk ka marcel di taman” ucapku

“ baiklah, apapun untuk anak papah” ucap papah sambil memelukku

“ Terima kasih papah”                                                                                                                                  

papah meninggalkanku sendiri ditaman karna ada urusan kantor mendadak .

“Papah tidak akan lama, kamu tunggu papah disini kalau terjadi sesuatu segera hubungi papah” ucap papah sambil mencium keningku

 Saat aku sedang melukis wajah ka Marcel tiba-tiba ada seseorang yang menghampiriku

“ Tampan, pasti itu kekasihmu”  ucap seorang lelaki yang tadi menghampiriku

“ Bukan dia bukan kekasihku” ucapku datar

“ pasti dia tunganganmu yang akan segera menjadi suamimu” ucap lelaki itu dengan sok tahu

“ Dia lelaki yang aku cintai setelah papah saat ini tapi dia bukan kekasih ataupun tunanganku dia lebih berharga dari itu dia adalah kakak terbaik yang aku punya”  senyum tipis terbentuk dibibirku saat menjawab ucapan lelaki itu

“ Dia pasti bahagia sekali mempunyai adik secantik kamu dan dia pasti kakak yang selalu melindungimu”  ucap lelaki itu dengan nada yakin

Tiba-tiba saja saat mendengar ucapan lelaki itu air mata mengalir deras dipipiku

“ hey kau kenapa ? apa ada ucapanku yang salah “ tanya lelaki itu bingung

Aku tak menghiraukan ucapan lelaki itu, aku meninggalkan lelaki itu begitu saja aku gerakkan kursi rodaku, aku agak kesulitan karna aku membawa lukisan ka marcel. Lelaki itu terus mengikutiku dan mencoba membantu mendorong kursi rodaku .

“  aku minta maaf jika ucapanku ada yang menyinggung perasaanmu, aku hanya ingin berteman denganmu”

Aku yang mendengar ucapannya, tak percaya lelaki setampan dia ingin berteman dengan wanita lumpuh seperti aku . senyum kecut terukir dibibirku

“ Berteman dengan wanita lumpuh seperti aku? jangan bercanda “ ucapku sinis

“ aku serius memang ada yang salah ? “

“ kau bisa mendapatkan teman yang setara denganmu” ucapku sambil mendorong kursi rodaku  tapi tiba-tiba ada tangan yang menahan kursi rodaku

“  tapi aku ingin berteman denganmu “ jawab laki-laki itu

Aku tatap wajah lelaki itu sepertinya ada ketulusan di matanya

“ kenapa kau ingin berteman denganku, aku hanya wanita lumpuh yang selalu menyusahkan orang-orang disekelilingku dan aku yang menyebabkan ibuku meninggal bahkan sekarang  kakakku saja tidak ingin memiliki adik sepertiku “ ucapku dengan nada tinggi dan air mata yang membasahi pipiku

Lelaki itu tiba-tiba terdiam

“ kenapa kau diam, berubahfikiran ? “ tanyaku kasar

Lelaki itu tersenyum, dan mengulurkan tangannya

“  namaku Peter , kau salah jika kau anggap kau penyebab meninggalnya ibumu itu semua adalah rencana allah kau tau rencananya itu selalu indah”

Tidak tahu apa yang ada di otakku saat itu ucapan lelaki itu seketika menenangkanku, dan membuat senyum mengembang di bibirku

“ namaku Putri “ ucapku membalas uluran tanggannya

“ sekarang kita teman bukan, kapanpun kau butuh aku aku akan selalu ada untukmu jangan pernah berfikir bahwa kamu menyusahkanku aku selalu senang membantu teman secantik kamu” ucap Peter

Semenjak aku bertemu dengan Peter hari-hariku berubah, aku tak pernah merasa kesepian lagi dan karna dia aku menjadi semangat untuk menjalani terapi dan aku bertekat untuk bisa berjalan kembali .

Dua tahun berlalu hari-hariku selalu bahagia , mesti sikap ka marcer tak kunjung berubah padaku.

Seperti biasa ka Marcel mengacuhkanku

“ Putri ambilin ya ka, ini nasi goreng buat kakak” aku ulurkan nasi piring yang berisi nasi goreng buatanku

“PRANG,,,,PRANGG”

Ka Marcel menepis piring itu

“ Ga usah so baik ,mau bersikap bagaimanapun sikap saya sama kamu ga akan pernah berubah “

Sakit mendengar perkataan ka Marcel , papah yang mendengar dan melihat kejadian itu menjadi marah

“ Marcel tidak sepantasnya kamu bersikap seperti itu pada adikmu” ucap papah dengan nada tinggi

“ Dia bukan adikku pah “

Ka marcel pergi begitu saja meninggalkan dan tak mendengarkan ucapan papah

Pagi itu Peter datang membawa bunga, dia melihat semua kejadian itu , seperti biasa Peter selalu berusaha membuatku tersenyum

“ Selamat pagi Putri Cantik, pagi ini Pangeran bawakan bunga untukmu  selamat pagi juga Om , kemana kita hari ini ? “ ucap Peter mencoba menghiburku 

Entah kata-kata ajaib apa yang bisa membuat moodku berubah menjadi bahagia

“ hari ini kamu temenin aku beli perlengkapan untuk pesta ulang tahunku nanti “ ucapku semangat

“ siap komandan, sepertinya ada nasi goreng lezat ayo om kita sarapan “ ajak peter pada papah

“ ayo nak peter pagi ini kita sarapan nasi goreng buatan putri cantiknya om” jawab papah

Aku tahu sikap mereka itu tak ingin melihat aku sedih

“ ini nasi goreng terlezat yang pernah aku makan” ucap peter sambil menatapku

Setelah mereka selesai makan aku bersiap untuk pergi dengan Peter

“ sudah siap princess ? ayo kita pergi “ Peter sambil mendorong kursi rodaku

Aku dan Peter pergi kesebuah pusat perbelanjaan kami membeli semua perlengkapan pesta setelah semua barang yang kami perlukan dibeli aku tidak lupa membeli kanvas untuk menyelesaikan lukisan terakhirku untuk ka marcel .

“Peter apa kau bisa mengantarku ke danau ? “ tanyaku di tengah perjalanan

“ Danau ? untuk apa kau ingin kesana ? “ tanya Peter heran

“ Aku ingin melukis”  jawabku singkat

“ Mengapa tidak melukis dirumah saja ? “ Peter

“ ini lukisan terakhirku untuk ka Marcel, dan aku ingin melukisnya dengan seindah-indahnya agar hasilnya memuaskan aku butuh tempat yang nyaman “ jawabku

“Lukisan terakhir ? kau ini bicara apa ? “ tanya Peter kesal

“ Firasatku bilang seperti itu “  jawabku datar

“ Jangan aneh-aneh kamu masih bisa melukis untuk ka Marcel kapanpun dan ini bukan yang terakhir, kamu mengerti “ ucap Peter kesal 

Aku melukis wajah ka Marcel bersama bunda

“  Lukisan-lukisan yang aku buat akan aku pamerkan di hari ulang tahunku nanti, pestaku nanti akan seperti galery lukisan yang seluruhnya terinspirasi dari ka Marcel “

“ Ka marcell pasti bangga dan bahagia sekali “

Hari yang aku tunggupun akhirnya datang, seluruh undangan telah berkumpul tapi ka Marcel belum juga terlihat

“ Ayo nak potong kuenya, para tamu sudah menunggu “ ucap Papah

“ tidak pah aku menunggu ka marcel “

“ kakak kamu tidak akan datang” ucap papah

“ Ka Marcell pasti datang pah “ yakinku

Kemudian Ka marcell keluar dari kamarnya

“ itu Ka marcellnya pah, kakak kita nungguin kakak dari tadi “

Ka Marcell tidak menggubris ucapanku dia pergi meninggalkanku begitu saja, aku mengejar ka marcell  tapi ka Marcel memper cepat langkahnya , lalu akupun segera mempercepat kursi rodaku .

Terlihat dari kejauhan mobil berkecepatan tinggi menuju ka Marcel, seketika itu aku teringat kecelakaan dulu, aku tak ingin terulang lagi aku percepat kursi rodaku lebih cepat lagi lalu aku dorong Ka Marcel , sayangnya semua itu sia-sia mobil itu menghantam tubuh kami berdua.

“ kakak kamu di ruang ICU dia kehilangan banyak darah dan matanya terancam buta “ ucap papah ragu

“ Papah, janji sama aku jika terjadi sesuatu dengan aku Papah harus donorkan Kornea mata aku untuk ka Marcell”

“ kamu ini bicara apa putri kamu akan baik-baik saja “

“ papah berjanjilah “ ucapku , papah hanya terdiam

“ Peter , terima kasih telah menjadi Pangeran yang selalu membuat aku semangat untuk terus bisa berjalan terima kasih telah menjadi malaikat tanpa sayap untukku aku mencintaimu “  air mata terus mengalir dan tak lama mata putri terpejam

Mataku tak bisa lagi terbuka , Marcell sudah sadarkan diri kesehatannya mulai membaik hari ini perban dimatanya akan di lepas .

Marcel hanya menggerakkan kepalanya ke ats kebawah bertanda dia siap,perban dimatanya sudah terlepas sempurna

“ Papah, Dokter,Peter aku bisa melihat kalian “ ucap marcell gembira

“ Dimana Putri pah ? “ tanya marcell

“ Peter dimana Putri , kenapa kalian diam saja “

“ Adikmu sangat menyayangimu dia berikan lukisan-lukisan ini untukmu, semua lukisannya terinspirasi dari kamu” ucap papah dengan air mata yang membasahi pipinya

“lalu diman Putri pah ? “ tanya lagi marcel

“ Peter jawab aku diman Putri “ Marcel sambil menggoyangkan badan Peter

“ kau tak perlu khawatir Putri sudah di tempat yang indah bersama mamahmu “

“ apa kamu bilang tapi aku belum sempat membahagiakannya dan mejaganya “  ucap marcel dengan air mata

“ kau bisa terus ada didekat Putri karna matanya sekarang ada padamu “ ucap Peter
